"Boobs"......Man's real best friend(s)! lol lol lol

Just some random talk around my house lately.........This is not meant to offend or hurt anyone who has dealt with this illness....my sense of humor has gotten me through some very tough times in my life, now with breast cancer possibly waiting for me in the wings....I will deal with it the only way I know how..........with humor. If you choose not read on, that's OK too.....We all live our own lives with our own comfort levels.

Now back to the random talk around my house lately.........

Me - So Jim, You still gonna love me "truly, madly deeply" when I am bald and boobless?
Jim - Sure, I loved you when you were crazy right? (OMG! He finally used the past tense of the word crazy, he said "Were" instead of "Are!" That 2 years of Prozac and 2 years of therapy finally paid off huh? lol lol lol

Me - "You know if it is Cancer, I'm just going to have them removed, I'm not as attached to them as you are so it will be no big deal....it's more like they are attatched to me..... but I will have them replaced"
Jim - "Replaced? As in bigger???"
Me - "As if 36 D borderline double D, isn't  big enough?? NO! NOT BIGGER! probably the same size just "PERKIER" Hey I'm 43 years old, I nursed my babies, the "girls" aren't where they should be anymore, only standing on my head puts them back to where they should be but that makes me dizzy after awhile! lol lol lol

Jim - "Seriously, you wouldn't go bigger?"
Me - "Ummmmmm  NO! If you would like I can have the Doctor put the old ones in a mason jar filled with formaldehyde for you to fondle anytime you wish?"
Jim - "Now that is just sick!........Can they do that??"
Me - "I don't know....do you really want me to find out?"

After a few moments of us both caught up in our own thoughts ...........

Me - "You know sometimes I wish our boobs were on our backs......that way the massages you men give us would last a hell of a lot longer!"
Jim - "Maybe you can ask your Doctor about that!"

GOD I LOVE THIS MAN!!!!!

Laughter is good!  From reading your entry, I can tell that you have a great husband that will support you through anything!  You are blessed!  I'll keep my fingers crossed for you.  Hang in there!  Julie :)

Kim, I am about your age (I'll be 43 in Sept.) and I just went through pretty much the same thing you went through--almost exactly--except THEY found the lump during my routine mammogram.  It was like you describe--about the size of a nickel, and it turned out to be nothing.  Just a cyst.  But boy was I worried, mostly because the doctors were so secretive and didn't tell me anything until they had determined it was harmless.  I hate the way they keep you in the dark like a child.  And here I am studying to become a medical professional myself!!  Odds are likely you'll be fine too.  Keep your chin up.  And one other thing I should mention while I'm here.  Women who have to have their breasts removed due to cancer are not able to get silicon implants afterwards.  No reputable doctor would do it for safety reasons.  Just thought you would want to know.

I do wish I didn't have my boobs.  I think they are just in the way.  LOL.  Glad you are keeping positive about all this.  Let us know how the doc appnt goes.  I have never had a mammogram.  Just when we got insurance we had to let it go.  Sigh.  Never ends does it?
Hugs,
Lisa

I have often said if my walls could talk they would be laughing their asses off. The conversations we have sometimes people just wouldnt believe the responses we get from these men...................Robin

Hi Kim,

I totally agree with everyone else, laughter is the best medicine!  Sounds like you have a great relationship with your hubby and it's great that the two of you can joke around about this....I'm keeping you in my prayers that the news will be good from the doc though....you're a strong lady, you'll be fine!

Take Care,
~Bilinda~

Just back 'in town' and I've scanned your recent entries since I went AWOL (thru no fault of my own I might add <g>). So, here goes:

1. Beautiful wedding
2. Crazy ex-wife
3. Eeek sorry about the menopause... but they say it gets better... I'm waiting.. impatiently!
4. Hoping all turns out well, but am so happy to see that humour of yours shining thru no matter what!
