Incorrigible.....Who Me? lol

incorrigible : incapable of being corrected or amended: as a (1) : not re formable : DEPRAVED (2) : DELINQUENT b : not manageable : UNRULY c : UNALTERABLE,

This was/is a word that has been used to describe me as far back as I can remember. I think the first time I heard the word I was in kindergarten and I was reading my teacher comments in my report card to my parents, at their request mind you! At the time I thought it must of been a great word, and I was being praised.........not! It stated that although I am a good student, when the teacher was on one side of the room trying to conduct class I was on the other side trying to conduct my own. What can I say? I'm a natural born leader! lol lol lol

The next time I heard the word, I maybe was six years old.  I over heard it in a conversation between my Brownie Leader (1st step of becoming a girl scout) and my Mother. It was the reason I was being kicked out of brownies.   Oops my bad! even waaaaay back then, I guess. Something to due with an ice ball to her face during our trek through the woods on a winter's day. I never claimed to have perfect aim and I'm sure I wasn't really aiming at her anyway!  Pfffft!!!!

My next memory of the word was during my 5th grade year. I had just moved to a new neighborhood, and I guess I still wasn't a model student. The "word" came up in a short essay about self control that I had to write (by hand 200 times) and have signed by my parents. I must have wrote that damn essay 2,000 times during my year as a 5th grader. Boy! was I happy to see 6th grade! Poor Miss R. (teacher)

The next time I remember the "word" was during my 8th grade year, my offenses had to do with defacing school property, Moving my music teachers brand new car, with the help of my friends mind you from the parking lot to the school playground as an April Fools Joke.......he was not amused and 12 of us were suspended. Then there was a staged "walk out" by yours truly...they were going to cut out the hot chocolate that was given to us, the volunteer crossing guards on cold winter mornings........by the way we won that one! heee heee! My grade school was VERY happy to see our class through graduation. We are still talked about at that school all these years later! lol

The next time I heard the word was during my High School years... It was written onletterhead from the local police department and on file in my guidance counselor's office............along with the words "Coy" and "Photogenic" I adored my counselor! He saw the diamond in the rough and liked me in spite of myself and then revealed to me many years later when I went to visit him that he always admired my "spunk" and that he was very pleased to see that I did not loose any of it! lol

I was the kid that most parents were very thankful I didn't belong to them, but always adored me anyway.......I think the last time that "word" was used was by my Sister's Mother-In-Law.......it went something like this, "Kelly, I like your sister and all, but I sure am glad that Stevie met you instead of her!"

Funny thing is, I still don't have a problem with that WORD! lol lol lol

I love that word.  I must remember to use it more often in my writings.  I think it's a trait you can use to your advantage.  I wish I had more of it sometimes. Hugs,
Lisa

I think that is a wonderful adjective to have describe one...but then again that is probably because people use it for me! HA! How would anything get done in our country without incorrigible people? ;-) Actually, I think it is used by people who are just jealous! They wish they could be like us! HA! We dare to say "Why not?!"
