I'm doing great! My computer not so well...virus=shop

I'm sorry I haven't posted again in a while...right now my computer has a virus and is at the shop at the moment....some sight one of the teenagers went to...Arghhhhh!

I had another double dose of chemo on Monday and NO FOUR DAY COMA.....I feel terrific! I am nowhere nearly as weak as I was when I depleated myself of food last time  and like I said I won't be doing that again....took a very long time to bounce back from that! In fact I have been haunting the house at night cleaning...strange side effect huh??? lol  Sorry not hiring out at the moment! lol I did mess up on Monday thought, I was supposed to be there at 8:00 A.M. for a Doctor visit, get my tumor marker results, have the chemo but I didn't write down the time in my cancer appointment book and I showed up at 1:30 which I thought was my normal time....thing is Mondays aren't my normal Dr. appointments.....Tuesdays are at that time....Dr. Serious is at another location late Monday afternoons.

They weren't sure if I was going to be able to get the chemo because last time my blood platelets were only 14......but because I had that week break in between and I am taking much better care of myself nutritionally they shot up to over 400....again go me! lol  I'm still having weakness in my legs more than not and living in a tri-level isn't exactly fun right now....I'm doing so much better with this last chemo (Monday)

With it being over a year now battling this and trying to find a chemo that works, then seeming to have to adjust to new side effects, new dosages it seems after every blood test.....I am really looking forward to more of a same old, same old routine.....sometime...maybe.

Well, I just wanted to give a quick update on me and my even sicker computer and I still plan on posting a picture of the tumor visible on the breast they said cancer would never reoccur in...they said no breast tissue.... no more cancer...I guess I will always be the exception to things that rarely happen....like the mastectomy not working, 2 chemos (so far) that worked momentarily then stopped and still crossing fingers that this Gemzar and Carboplatinum is the right blend this time.

I also want to once again tell all of you who have been with me since the beginning of my blog (August-2004) and the beginning of my illness (July 2006) how much you all mean to me....your support, your encouragement to fight even harder and your heartfelt comments do so much to carry me on more days than you will every realize....so many of you call me inspiring.....when it's you and my friends and my family that inspire me everyday. Illness and death are a part of life and come what may I have truly been blessed with much love in my life and love is all I need.....OK, and really good Japanese food once in awhile! lol

I'll update again as soon as my computer is fixed.

Love,
Kim

I kept thinking today was Friday, lol.  I'm glad you were able to get the treatment!  My daughter loves Japanese food, she's trying to talk me into testing out a local resteraunt.  I am going to have to give it a try!

(((Kim))) I would happily cook any Japanese food that you desire, if I could find a way to get it to you!  My Japanese MIL was a hell of a cook and she taught me well. If you have any food cravings like for Tempura - find a great Japanese restraunt and order in. We will put weight on you...now you made me want to buy stuff to make. Lol.  Glad you are feeling a little stronger....love Sandi

Hope you get your computer back soon. Everytime my daughter gets on the computer it runs super slow. Then I have to restart it and delete all the cookies and stuff.

I started thinking after reading your entry and there's something on your mind other than your illness. No matter what so ever it is; you know the drill. You got to keep on pushing; you can't stop now. Move up a little higher someway, somehow. You got your pride; dig a little deeper inside; you got to keep on pushing. I hope this won't bore you, but here's a verse for you. Walk with me Lord; walk with me; while I'm on this tee-de-us journey; I want (jesus) God; whatever you beleave; to walk with me. Ok buddy; take a minute and less get ready for another round. Ali, Ali you are the greatest.

That's the way to do it Kim.   Feed your body up so that it can fight!   Don't let this parasite called cancer have any of your fighting ability or energy.  How brilliant that the chemo is agreeing with you a wee bit better my angel.  That must really cheer you up.  To get a bit of 'up' time in between the 'downs' was always a carrot in front of my nose during mine.  It was something to aim for each time I had a treatment.  Knowing that it wears off after a while and your old self comes back is  a pick me up in itself.
Sorry about your puter.   Thinking about you always.
Praying  for your good health.
Hugs

I'm sorry about your comp problems - have got a virus and spyware scanner on it? Anyway, it's not funny having to go through that entire rigmarole of treatments-that-don't-work - or have ghastly side-effects. Hope this last lot does do the job, Kim. Keep spirits high!

Sorry to hear about your computer.  It  happens to us quite a bit since we have teens also.   How come it is always the sites that the teens go to that give the viruses?  I guess aol journals is safe!  I am so glad to hear that you are feeling so much better.  I am praying that this upward swing continues this time.  Linda

I have come to the dive wisdom that computers do not play well with OTHERS. Meaning more then one person. I know that when I am the only one touching Mrytle, she runs just fine. Let one of my glitter princess la-la's touch Mrytle. Everything turns to chit. My machine only likes to ME! lol

Wow it has been a year, and then a year before that on the j. It just seems like yesterday we were all sending post cards to each other. which reminds me. Where the hell is that address with everybodies info. Anyhoo...

Greetings Kim.....My computor has been out of sorts for awhile too....I got another used tower and after hrs of messin with it found out they forgot to put the modem in it.  Anyway, great to know you are doing well at this time.  Our family is hunkering down as my nephew prepares for stem cell transplant after two yrs of chemo.  He has done amazingly well with cancer, but this will take some doing.  We are blessed in that Ed's sister is a perfect match!  I had planned to start my breast reconstruction now, but hesitate with his stem cell stuff starting.  Well, count on God for more blessings to follow!  Take care!

Hello Kim,

I'm happy to hear that your feeling better. This is my first time to your Blog 8-17-07. You've touched my heart in ways you'll never know. I really needed to read about very thing you've bee going though. You see I take care of my mom who is also battling Breast Cancer. She's had a real hard time with everything,  healling from the double mastectomy took a very long time. At late we were at my sister's and mom fell on a stick, it went into her thigh 2 1/2in to 3 in and now her chemo will be put off once again. Sometimes I feel paranoid, but it really scares me everytime they can't give mom chemo. Now I'm rambling, but I really wanted you to know that your an angel and that you've touched so many hearts. I plan to try to keep up on wants going on with you, because I know that your gona help me understand what my moms going through. I pray that this time they got the right cocktail for you!!! Stay STRONG, and take care.

Sincerely yours,
Teena

P.S. YOUR AWESOME!!!

Kim...... You are 'An Inspiration'....... you are an inspiration to all fellow cancer sufferers and also to their family and friends and anyone associated with the horrid disease.

You battle on regardless...........yes you have been kicked down....but what happens ...... you come back fighting even harder ( if thats possible). I do not know you personally, only through your journal, but from what i have read you deserve to beat this thing through your sheer determination, you battle on even though i imagine you do not have the strength to. I wish i could wave a magic wand and eradicate this disease from your body, unfortunately i can't but i cant just pray that your strength and determination continues.

Hugs Jayne

p.s.   Sorry to hear about the comp
