Go rest high on that mountain

One of my Girlfriends (Mar) recently lost her Grandmother-In-Law, She was a VERY special lady....made you feel like you were welcome and a new member of the family and extremely quick witted..........loved her instantly! Her service and burial took place yesterday. Even though I just had chemo the day before, and that I am battling a sinus infection, an ear infection and just my normal leg weakness.....I wanted and had to be there!  I really started to not feel well at the end of the service. So now we are on the way to the cemetery for a graveside burial and me thinking that there was going to be a building around with a rest room....nope....So I spy a bank parking lot across this small grassy field with just a few tiny bushes to walk through and I get half way across the grass and my legs give out.....now the funeral processions is driving by my as I'm trying to pick myself up out of the grass........my Girlfriends daughter and her best friend got to me first and helped me up....was I embarrassed? No! Just wasn't one of my shining moments.....but Goldylocks never fell of me head! lmaoooooo!!!!.A lil water and a lil air conditioning and I was all better. Then later that day I had a glass of red wine spilled on my new white capris.....total accident Carlie! My friends youngest child I wish you didn't run off and hide...I'll get you next time with grape juice! lol lol lol JUST KIDDING!!!

The rest of the after noon was touring my GF Aunts house and grounds. Just beautiful! Took off in the golf cart to see the woods, the old barns, the new Barns by the time we got back to the main house I'm pulling burrs out of Goldilocks and Mishy is pulling them of the seat of her pants...another funny moment we always seem to have when we are together....love you two!!!

Soon as I get the new test results, I'll share! Have a good day!

Haven't been around, but I see you still have your amazing sense of humor, even on a sad occasion.  Keep laughing, it's the best medicine!

You still laugh in tough moments. That's such a gift to be able to do that! That house and grounds must have been HUGE...and beautiful! I bet that was nice to see.
Have a great day today.

Kim, know it was important to be at your GF's Grandmother-In-Law services, glad you were able to go even though you had one of your usual "Kim" I don't believe It" experiences.  What a special lady you are, nothing keeps you from doing what your heart says you need to do, bless you.  Another funny moment with your tour of your GF Aunts house and grounds.  My thoughts and prayers will be with you on your test results.  Hugs to you....Arlene (AJ)

Hi Kim,
Glad to see you're still full of vim and vinegar. (Or is that baking soda and vinegar?) Full of fizz, anyway. Keep up the fight. I've got my evil, atheistic fingers crossed for good test results. Kick its ass, hon.

I was sorry to read about your Girlfriend's Grandmother-In-Law.  I too was at a funeral on Tuesday.  My girlfriends mother's funeral. It wasn't one of those grim and dreary ones.  She had asked everyone to wear bright colours.  What a difference that made to all who attended. She knew she was going this past year and did everything she wanted to do before she left us.
But look at you!  Can't take you anywhere but you fall about all over the place...I hope folks didn't think you were hitting the bottle...Lol!  Good old Goldylocks at least you can rely on her in a storm....hahahaha!
I love your Joie de Vivre!  It's infectious...your love of life certainly opens my eyes for possibilities and moments to grasp.  You make life happen around you.  Keep it up my friend.
Praying real hard for good results for you soon.
Hugs

Kim, you astound me...  You handle SO much, with the utmost grace and dignity and courage.  Oh, I'm sure you don't always FEEL that way, and that there are moments of darkness and so much uncertainty, but Lord, how you overcome it all.  And I KNOW you will continue to do so, fighting strong and brave.

I'm sorry to hear of your friend's loss and that you felt that sadness as well.  You continue to be in my thoughts and prayers, Kim.

God bless you and keep you in this most difficult situation. Just realize the many other blessings in your life. Some of us go through this with very few blessings.
