Yes, an update! lol

Ok, I have finally arrived at my wits end! I always wondered what that meant and now I know! I hate not being able to log on when ever I needed too. I didn't realize how dependent I was to being "online" it has always been my first choice whenever I needed to look something up, check something out or just simply wanna go brain dead playing pogo!

My middle daughters boyfriend has taken my computer apart trying to fix it for me, then something came up and he no longer has time to fix it and put it back together for me, the hard drive is literally sitting outside of the tower and I have been told to be very careful in handling it while packing it up to go to the real computer repair shop! And of course Murphy's law has applied itself to my life once again, he is booked and can't tell me a ball park time on when to drop it off. It's a good thing that I always anticipate Murphy's Law...that way it can never take me by surprise and hold me down for too long! lol

I am not missing journaling as much as I thought I would but then again, I tend to spend the dark of winter mostly silent, I haven't touched my camera in weeks even though I have new accessories for it.

Reading and writing email via my cell phone is getting real old too! I will never be a super text messenger...I find it tedious at best!

I wonder if AOL has felt the loss of some really good blogs yet, it feels to me like a family that has been split up after a tragedy has struck. I wonder how many of us will loose touch after awhile.....it adds more sadness to the situation.

I don't even know the future of my own personal blog, I'm not sure if I'll be back all......I seem to have lost my will to journal..I just hope it doesn't stay away as long as it did before I discovered AOL Journals...that writing "dry spell" lasted over 20 years! I wrote a lot before I became a Mother...after that time to myself was no longer an option. Now I have the time but not the will.......such is life huh?

I hope everyone has a wonderful holiday and an even better new year!

Oh, I was so glad to see an alert from you.... I figured your computer was down. I started to e-mail you to ask if all was well, but then thought, duh! No computer, no e-mail...I forgot you had AOL by Phone <sigh> I should have remembered since that is how you let us hear your daughter sing ::smacks self in forehead::

I hope you don't lose interest in journaling. I've actually re-found my interest since moving to Blogger... but, that's pobably because it's like a huge new toy to me... And I'm having a great time playing and learning about HTML/CSS over there.

Anyway, I would miss you, your stories, and your pics.. so, I selfishly hope you will be around as soon as you get your computer back in order!!

I'm moving too during Christmas break! I'd rather be somewhere without ads.

Demandn' I know how you feel.  I just got back on the DSL line after almost a month of nonsense between Verizon & AOL. I was meaning to ask whatever happened with your daughter and the singing? I didn't know if I missed your decision or not...I've been keeping my fingers crossed for her.  Please don't give up on Jland....you would be terribly missed....Sandi http://journals.aol.com/sdoscher458/LifeIsFullOfSurprises

Kim,

The spark is gone for many in J-Land; I have been trying to remain enthusiastic but it's real hard.

The split caused divisions that are remaining like lines drawn in the sand. It's no longer fun to journal, because of the cliques and indertones regarding the divisions. I hated cliques in high school and I certainly have gotten none the more tolerant over the years , LOL.

Whatever you decide, you know I'll be looking for you if you decide to come back.

I hope you have a wonderful and joyous  holiday!

Peace,
Maryanne

PLEASE DONT LEAVE JLAND! I WILL MISS YOU! I COME BACK, AND YOU LEAVE. MY SOUL SISTER WILL NOT BE HERE AND I AM SAD. :(
PLEASE, PLEASE KIM, NO MATTER WHAT YOU DECIDE TO DO, DONT LOSE TOUCH WITH ME, OKAY?
I RESPECT YOUR DECISION, I JUST HOPE (AND I THINK IT WILL HAPPEN) WHEN SPRING ROLLS AROUND, YOU WILL FIND THAT WRITING SPIRIT AGAIN.

I WANT TO WISH YOU AND YOUR FAMILY THE MOST BEAUTIFUL AND JOY-FILLED CHRISTMAS EVER. I MEAN THAT.......
LOVE YOU,
KIM.

Kimberleigh~Merry Christmas; you've been missed and I hope you'll be back again soon. I know about writing dry spells, but mine are more any kind other than journaling. I seem to be able to always write in a personal journal, but anything else requires extra inspiration and discipline. TC~Sassy ;-)

Just read your latest sorry to hear about your bad luck with torn apart PC. I have had a few crashes and know how it feels to be down. luckily  my son was able to fix it for me. One thing I learned is not to trust down loads  and to use firewall and virus scans.  But it is hard not to jump the gun and just click. good luck and have a Merry Christmas & a Happy New Year.
